Q: What is an elevation?
A: An Elevation is the exterior façade of a house. Typically, every side of the house will have an elevation, Front, Left, Right and Back. When submitting your drawings ensure you include the elevations needed to for the rendering angle you want to produce. For Example, if you want to create a rendering from the left side of the house then ensure your drawings include the left and front elevations. If you want to be able to move around the entire house and create a rendering from any angle then ensure you include all 4 elevations.
Q: What is a CAD file?
A: CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. A CAD file is a digital file format of an object generated using CAD software, containing a blueprint of a home. We accept file types from several CAD systems in the following formats: PDF, DWG, DXF, SKP, RVT, SVA.

A: A 2K rendering has less pixels than a 4K rendering and is typically used on the Web and social media. A 4K rendering is a higher resolution file that has 4 times the density of pixels and is ideal for use in print media and signage. 8K Rendering has 16 times the pixel density of a 2K rendering and is typically used for very high-resolution products such as large display and billboards. In addition to the file sizes, the 4K and 8K renderings are generated at a higher quality as it is rendered using ray tracing which produces a higher quality image.
Here is the actual pixel density based on a 16×9 aspect ratio: Note: your actual resolution horizontal x vertical may vary based on the aspect ratio you have selected. However, we maintain the overall pixel density for each version.
For example, a 2k – 16×9 will be rendered at 2048×1152 resolution, while a 2k – 4×3 will be rendered at 1774×1330 resolution, resulting in the almost the same overall rendered pixels.
16×9 Resolution | Horizontal Pixels | Vertical Pixels | Total Pixels |
2k | 2048 | 1152 | 2,359,296 |
4k | 4096 | 2304 | 9,437,184 |
8k | 8192 | 4608 | 37,748,736 |
